Baker Constructors recently completed the steel erect on the new Stead School building in Commerce City, CO. We partnered with Saunders Construction Inc. the general contractor as the steel erector for this community project. The Stead School caters to education for high school-aged students. The school offers experiential learning in science, technology, environment, agriculture and system design with a focus on solving global food, health, energy and environmental issues. This pre-engineered metal building has some unique features including an architectural standing seam roof with vented cupolas and skylights. The building exterior has batten wall panels, masonry wainscoting, and custom trim around the windows and doors to help with snow. This project was a success and will be a great asset to the students and the community for years to come.
